The King’s School, Canterbury, UK has a long and rich history of more than thousands of years. As the first overseas branch of the King’s School, the Pre-Prep School was founded in Nanshan, Shenzhen in 2019.   In Shenzhen, there are 3 departments: the Pre-Prep School, the Primary and Lower Secondary School, and Upper Secondary - High School. New campus with a Pre School for Grades 1-8 and a Senior School for Grades 9-12, located 4km from the current pre-prep school, will be open in Fall 2022.   In Pre-Prep School, it uses English Early Years Educational Framework as the foundation of the school curriculum. Classes are small with an average of 20 students each class. Each class is equipped with a native English teacher, a bilingual teacher and one or more teaching assistants. Also, there are dedicated teachers in art, music and P.E.   The Primary and Lower Secondary School are open to nationality and recruit students from Grades 1-9 (6-15 years old). Bilingual integrated courses will be adopted, with five classes in each grade. It provides the curriculum content of the integration of Chinese compulsory education, British curriculum and international curriculum. Meet the needs of Chinese students for compulsory education courses. In addition to Chinese class teaching, foreign students will take classes with Chinese children in other courses. British courses mainly come from Cambridge primary school and junior middle school courses.   High School covers Grades 10-12 (in the UK these are Years 11-13), focusing on the international senior high school courses (IGCES and A levels) in Cambridge, UK, in preparation for entering the world's famous universities.
