Although my employer eventually canceled my work permit and gave me my release/transfer papers, they dragged their feet(delayed for some time), but eventually canceled my work permit.

The owner is too immature to run a company. He took things too personally. I finished my contract and wanted to work at a competitor in the same city and he refused to pay me the end of contract bonus or give me a reference letter because of that. The company has announced they will close in October 2022.
