About Role

Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong seeks a well-qualified, caring and inspiring DUCKS Class Teacher (Early Years or KS1).

 

POST-HOLDER QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  1. Relevant degree or equivalent
  2. PGCE or equivalent
  3. At least 2 years teaching experience in an Early Years/KS1 setting (Toddler – Year 2)
  4. Experience working within a positive, collaborative environment

 

POST-HOLDER SPECIFIC  RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support and actively promote DCI’s Vision and Purpose.
  2. Plan, resource, and deliver lessons within the DUCKS Curriculum for identified classes, in accordance with School expectations and requirements.
  3. To create enabling environments in which student development flourishes.
  4. Monitor student progress in accordance with the School’s assessment and tracking policy and practices.
  5. Have a safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral duty of care (including playground duties), in accordance with College and School policy and practices.
  6. Contribute effectively and regularly to the School’s co-curricular programme.
  7. Take initiative with regard to personal professional development and learning.
  8. Attend PL days, parents’ information events, staff meetings and publicity events as required.
  9. Remain up to date with developments and best practice in Early Years/KS1 education.
  10. Ensure that professional behaviours always enhance the positive reputation of DCI group and the College, particularly mindful of our international context.
  11. Comply with all College, School, departmental and DCI group policies.
  12. Carry out any other duty as may reasonably be required by the Head of DUCKS.
